A series of caches set in the spectacular environment of the Devil's Dyke on the South Downs, most of which are highly original and amusing. The first one is unusual, but in a different way, so the link takes you to the second cache on the circuit.
Now archived, and the replacement series gets a TOP CACHE too 🙂.

The nicest cache I've seen for ages, clean and dry, and packed with swaps - too rare these days.

A nice paddle - but pay more heed to the cache page than we did, it needs a spring tide, the c/o knows wherof he talks 😉.

For the circuit. A super series - a lovely walk, with good size caches in good hides. The link is to the first one, beside the parking, which is way out of character with the rest of the series and rather lets the side down, but don't be put off by that.
Unfortunately my visit was ended halfway, when both Maisie the GeoSpaniel and myself suffered multiple bee stings, but we will be back to finish it off.

Definitely "a cache for the season" ... found at any other time of year, or in the daytime, they would lose some of the effect, but doing it on Halloween, at night and in the company of a large group of friends was exactly right. For best effect they need to be in good condition, and we were lucky to do them just after they had been maintained. All put together they were a super series, a nice location (not that we saw much of it in the dark and rain), with a good variety of hides, caches and "embellishments" 🙂.

Released
On a day that took in a large number of Flatcoat Walker caches, Ten Miles Max suggested we make the short detour to this one. Maybe I should have guessed, but nothing she said prepared me for this one - it was a big surprise, and all the better for it 🙂.
Unfortunately now archived.
