A top TOP CACHE. It took me three visits on consecutive evenings to collect this one. The first evening I didn't even find my way to the base of the island. The second evening I got to within 5 feet of the top before my nerve failed me. The third evening I was absolutely determined to get there, and I did 🙂.

I only came here as a prelude to "more important" caches on Bodmin Moor. Along a little lane, through a field, over a stile, down some crazy steps, and the valley unexpectedly opened up before me. A huge expanse of grass and bracken stretching as far as the eye could see. Getting to the cache location was a lengthy battle over steep, rough ground covered in dense vegetation, to reach an imposing rock formation.
I can see it all in my mind as clearly now as when I walked it. Awesome. And it was a great cache, too.
