A really high climb - our 50 metre throw lines and ropes were too short and needed extending! And very difficult to set up - it took us most of the morning! But the harder they are, the more satisfying the find :-) .

Out with the Washing, Up with the Flag

More fantastic climbing caches, this time VERY high, and with an unusual twist :-) . The cache owner and mpw246pl "helped", where "help" is a euphemism for doing all the hard bits :-) . I did have to get to the cache, but lacked the skills and equipment to manage by myself. I marvel at the abilities of those who can set and reach these caches unaided, and am so grateful for the help that means I can share their experiences.

P.S. as a result of these experiences I do now have some of the skills required, and this is largely due to the training I received on this cache, "Under Flock & Key" and others.

The Beast 666

Not just any old TOP CACHE, but one of my best caches ever. With the expert assistance of Purple Pineapple and Merstham Mafia I overcame my fear of heights to abseil to this cache. At one point I thought I'd never get back up again, but eventually I dragged myself to the top.

I was too scared really to enjoy it, but I'm chuffed that I've done it. I'm not likely to do anything like that again (that's what I said at the time, but I've actually now done loads of things like it :-) ), but it's a cache I'll never forget.

A series of challenges which I did because I qualified for them but which turned out actually to be a splendid series in their own right.
