An awesome view over Blea Tarn. And a challenging spot to reach. Great cache :-).

Rooley Moor is a great place for walking, and this series of caches, mostly in tricky to reach locations, makes the most of it.

Citizen's Grand Cache.

A steep, stiff climb up from the river - but what a view at the top :-).

Anglezarke Moor

A great walk across the moor. Most of the caches were set by this c/o, and the choice of the one linked to is based on a tricky but good hiding place that took us quite a long time to ferret out :-).

Darwen Moor

A number of caches on a great walk across the moor. A rather unusual one to award because it covered more than one cache owner, and I've had to select the c/o with the greater number of caches.

As far as the linked cache is concerned, that too is a rather arbitrary choice. It has a great view of a spectacular chimney that I had seen Fred Dibnah climb during a television program, and it was great to see the chimney "for real" :-).

Matts Cache.

An unusual cache placement! And trickier than first expected.

The Big Walk

More great walking on the Lancashire moors. No set route, and few tracks means thinking hard about picking the best way round, both when planning and when walking. Many hides are offset into river valleys, waterfalls, steep scrambles etc. - interesting as well as scenic.

Way Around Dearden

Wonderful walking country on the Lancashire moors, especially beautiful on the section up the river valley. Several hides in challenging locations. If the cache containers had been better quality and the logs dry it would have scored very high marks.
